What people are saying

New firms are important for generating economic prosperity, employment opportunities and innovation and since 2016, the Wales Start-Up awards have celebrated this amazing contribution annually by entrepreneurs on our economy and the impact they have on communities across our nation. Even during the current Covid-19 pandemic, over 19,000 new firms were set up in Wales in 2020 and we look forward to celebrating the achievement of those startups that make a real difference to every community in Wales.

Start-ups are the driving force of the Welsh economy and will play an essential role in “building back better”. But to start up and scale up successfully despite the downturn, they need the help of the entire business community. That is why, for the fourth consecutive year, Capital Law is proud to sponsor these awards, which give Welsh start-ups the opportunity to be recognised and connected, and to strengthen our country’s entrepreneurial ecosystem at this critical time.

As a proud Welshman, winning the best start up in Wales award was the highlight of an incredibly exciting 2020. Since winning, we have formed strong links with other leaders in the Welsh business community who are equally passionate about our growth and sustainable business model. The current economic climate is the most challenging environment entrepreneurs have faced in many years and it has never been more important to support local entrepreneurs as they are the lifeblood of our economy.
