UK Leisure Ltd. won the Retail Start-Up of the Year Award, sponsored by Cleartech Live and the North Wales Start-Up of the Year Award. We caught up with them after their win to find out a bit more:
1.) How did it feel to win a Wales Start-Up-Award?
We were delighted! It was great to be recognised for such a prestigious National award. It has taken years of hard work to get to this point.
2.) How did you find the experience of the Awards night?
It was a great night and we very much look forward to next year!
3.) How do you strive to make a difference in the Welsh business market?
By creating great local jobs and helping the local area through my own community-interest company.
4.) What are your goals for the next 12 months?
EXPAND! We want to continue growth to £3 million turnover and 500 tubs a year sold.
5.) What is the biggest lesson you have learned in the first year of your start-up business?
The biggest lesson was focus on what is working.
6.) What one piece of advice would you give to any aspiring entrepreneurs?
A great idea isn’t always a great business, seek advice from business owners who have the experience and can help you.
